An antique cold-painted cast bronze desk set decorated with figurines of Eastern men with weapons, jugs, and carpets. Marble bases. The set consists of a rolling blotter and a pen stand. Hallmarked, Austria on the bottom of the bases, and Chotka on the rim of the rugs. The set is an example of a very popular production in Austria at the beginning of the 20th century, when Franz Xavier Bergman, 1861 to 1936, opened a foundry in Vienna.
