An antique Russian Orthodox Christian hand painted Saint Nicholas of Myra icon. Tempera on a wooden panel with a silver oklad hallmarked with 84 silver proof and manufacturer marks. Framed. Circa the mid late 19th century. Saint Nicholas of Myra, also known as Nicholas of Bari, was an early Christian bishop of Greek descent from the maritime city of Myra in Asia Minor.
