An antique mid-19th century French porcelain dessert plate by Sevres, a prominent French fine porcelain manufacture. White round plate with turquoise-blue ground border, gilt rims in grape leaf pattern, with the royal cypher LP for Louis-Philippe in the center flanked by two hand-painted cherubs. Two crowned monogram hallmark dated 1844 and 1846, Chateau des Tuileries mark are on the bottom. Louis-Philippe I was the king of France from 1830 to 1848. He settled with his whole family in numerous residences such as Trianon, Les Tuileries, Saint-Cloud, Fontainebleau. Louis-Philippe abolished le grand couvert and introduced four types of services crafted in Sevres porcelain, with several levels of luxury. They were stamped with a specific chateau mark and could be lent from one castle to another for large receptions. Collectible Porcelain Tableware And Serveware.
