Ballpoint drawing on paper by Roy Gerald Krenkel, 1918 to 1983, an American book illustrator. The artwork is a sketch of an Ancient Roman palace with guards and concubines. Dated 1970s. Titled by the artist in the lower left, Idea Fragment For Interior of the Palace of Numedides. A never published illustration for the artists book Cities and Scenes from the Ancient World. The Estate of Roy G. Krenkel label is on the backside, signed by Barry Klugerman, the biographer of RGK. White mat, black frame. Postwar American Figurative Graphic Art, Antiquarian Librarian Collectibles.
