The front side and the hinged lid are decorated with silver overlay representing the Imperial Eagle, a combined monogram of the emperors Alexander I and Nicholas II, and floral garlands. The overlay is accentuated with cobalt blue enamel and amethyst cabochons. The interior is lined with velvet. Marked I.A. Zubarev in Vyatka on the backside.
