An important ancient Etruscan handled mirror frame made out of bone and carved with a beautiful scene depicting a kneeling lady playing flute. The influence of the Cretan-Mycenaean culture is clearly visible in the style of the image. The item is made from a piece of common domestic bovine bone, the porous material can be observed at the back of the piece in photos provided. Circa the 5th century BC.
