A finely modeled vintage German Rosenthal porcelain figure of a capercaillie, naturalistically modeled and hand painted, standing on a stump with its tail fanned. Circa the 1970s. Features printed and impressed marks to base. Rosenthal GmbH is a German manufacturer of porcelain products and other household goods. The original firm was founded in 1879 in Selb, Bavaria.
