Lot 0890: RARE COPIES OF SOME THOUGHTS ON SCIENCE BY MARK TWAIN

41 reviews

A lot of two rare copies, Some Thoughts on The Science of Onanism by Mark Twain, May, 1943. Fifty copies of this brochure have been printed for a microscopically few members of the great Fraternity to which Mark Twain belonged and in behalf of whose rites he speaks with so much fooling and depth of insight into his subject. Privately printed in 1943 by the Mark Twain Association of America, Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Reprinted in 1973 by Out of the Ashes Press, Portland, Oregon. Samuel Langhorne Clemens, 1835 to 1910, known by the pen name Mark Twain, was an American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer. He was praised as the greatest humorist the United States has produced, and William Faulkner called him the father of American literature.
