A rare and highly collectible antique Russian Easter egg made of papier mache and painted with a scene of The Resurrection of Christ and Descent into Hell on the front side and the Moscow Kremlin view on the backside. The egg consists of two halves, the interior bears a Cyrillic inscription in italics: Christ is risen! Attributed to the Lukutin factory, dates circa the late 19th to early 20th century.
