A pair of antique Russian gilt silver vodka cups, the front side bears hand engraved monograms: VA and IA. Serrated edge to the top and bottom. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian Imperial silver standard, a kokoshnik mark, also bears a Cyrillic makers mark IFS, for Sapogov I.F., owner of a silverware workshop, 1896-1917. The items made by Sapogov are stored, among other things, in the State Historical Museum in Moscow. Circa: late 19th or early 20th century.
