A highly collectible antique Russian parcel-gilt silver sugar bowl decorated with Neo-Russian designs depicting griffins and floral motifs made using the polychrome champleve enamel technique. Between two griffins there is a medallion engraved with the date 1880. Mounted on four ball feet also decorated with etched and enameled motifs. Features a twisted hinged handle with enameled spherical adornment to the center. Hallmarked with an 88 Imperial Russian silver hallmark, crossed anchors for St. Petersburg and an illegible makers mark.
