A beautiful cylindrical, multicolor (cobalt blue, turquoise blue, purple, opaque white) alabastron tapering towards the bottom. Alabastra were an ancient form of vessel, used to contain cosmetics, oils and perfumes. Late Roman period, circa the 3rd century AD.
