A pair of symmetrical Chinese, Republic era, enamel vases. Each vase has an amphora shaped body and a fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of blossoming chrysanthemum flowers and butterflies surrounded by a cloud motif on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The base is adorned with a scaly pattern made in the same technique. The neck is decorated with a foliage pattern made in the same technique. Each is presented with a footed hand carved wooden stand.
