A pair of Japanese covered enamel over brass sculptural boxes. Each box depicts a bird. The exterior of the ware is covered with polychrome foliage, and scrollwork motifs, and an image of a butterfly on a top, and a symmetrical image of birds, on the bottom made in the Cloisonne technique.
