Attributed to Tadeusz Dominik, Polish, 1928 to 2014, oil painting on board depicting a river landscape view with a bridge, 1963. Signed and dated lower right. Tadeusz Dominik studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under the supervision of prof. J. Cybisa, diploma 1953. During his studies, his teachers influenced, through the personality and art of Cybis, the ideas of Polish colorism, which he then creatively and independently continued. Initially, he created figurative paintings. He made his debut at the famous exhibition in the Warsaw Arsenal in 1955, where he won the prize. In this period, beside woodcutting, he cultivated woodcutting, using broad planes of white and black. One of a kind artwork.
