An antique early 20th-century German phanolith charger by Villeroy and Boch. White cameo against the pale green background. The plate represents three Neoclassical allegorical figures, a nymph with a vase, a moira with a spindle, and an industrial worker. Marked Mettlach VB Ges. Gesch. 2875 on the backside. Phanolith is a kind of bisque porcelain developed by Villeroy and Boch that combines the characteristics of jasperware and pate-sur-pate technique.
