A pair of antique 18th-century Italian miniature paintings with religious themes and unique shape designs. Presumably part of an architectural project for a wall painting or perhaps stained window designs. The composition moves around a pair of central panel medallions, one with the portrait of Saint John Evangelist while the other one contains a portrait of Saint Mary The Magdalene. The details are exquisite and highly skilled. On the upper and lower areas, following the irregular frame like structure, a group of portraits of the most popular Catholic Saints, easy to recognize Saint Jacob Apostle, Saint Ambrosius Of Milano and Saint Agustin De Hipona; A beautifully portrayed Saint Francis, St Thomas Aquinas And a curiously placed Saint Philip Neri.
