An antique Tibetan cast bronze figure of Durga, a form of the Hindu Goddess Parvati, the goddess of war. In this sculpture Durga is depicted sitting upon her vahana or vehicle, a lion, in the lalitasana position with one leg down and the other up beneath her with her 8 hands holding a variety of weapons and her right hand held up in the abhaya mudra of protection.
