Shosai Ikkei, Japanese, active ca. 1870, ukiyo e woodblock print on paper depicting a scene with a horse in a courtyard from the series of explanatory illustrations, chapter 55. Inscribed with calligraphy, upper right. Two red seal with calligraphy lower right, and upper to the center.Ikkei Shosai was a pupil of Hiroshige III.
