Alexandre Yakovlev, also spelt Jacovleff, Russian, 1887 to 1938, two color lithographs on paper, after charcoal paintings. First: a portrait of a man, inscribed, Ghilghiti Astor Porter, dated, July 13, 1931, and signed in the print, lower left. Second: a portrait of a Mongolian woman carrying a child in traditional clothing, The Yellow Cruise. Signed by the artist, dated 1932 and inscribed in the print, lower right. Both are framed. Alexandre Yakovlev, also spelt Jacovleff, 1887 to 1938, a Russian emigre artist of neoclassicist movement, student of Dmitry Kardovsky. Between 1931 and 1932, Yakovlev was the Artistic Adviser of a Citroen expedition across Asia.
