A set of original antique engravings. The artworks depict the life of Barnum circus and were created by various artists as illustrations for a 1886 book A History of the Old Town of Stratford and the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut written by Samuel Orcutt. A total of 24 prints in six plastic files. Each engraving is titled underneath. Barnum Circusis an American travelling circus founded in in 1871 by Phineas Taylor Barnum, 1810-1891, American showman and politician. Samuel Orcutt, 1824–1893, was an American historian and genealogist. Collectible Americana, Local History, Antique Graphic Art.
