The painting is titled, View of New Mexico, and signed lower right, Burliuk, also with ACA Gallery label dated 1947, with Arkansas Art Center label dated 2011 and Christies auction label dated 13 October 2016. Original framing. David Davidovich Burliuk was a poet, artist and publicist associated with the Futurist and Neo-Primitivist movements. At the outbreak of World War I, the artist fled to Siberia then Japan before relocating to New York in 1922. His works are held in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., and the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, among others.
