An antique 19th century English oil on canvas painting by George Cole. The painting depicts a man herding a herd of goats in a romantic mountainous landscape. Signed and dated 1879 lower left. Multiple inscriptions on the stretchers. Housed in a gilt wood frame. George Cole, 1810 to 1883, was an English painter known for his landscapes and animal paintings. One of a kind artwork.
