Vertical oval hole for the picture is encompassed with blue guilloche enamel, embellished with overlay decor, diamonds and rubies. The overlay includes a crown, an Imperial eagle, a ribbon and an inscription For Faith and Loyalty in Russian. The frame presents a portrait of the Empress Catherine the Great.
