An antique late 19th to early 20th-century Austrian cold-painted cast bronze table lamp with modern light fittings. The lamp represens a scribe in an alcove with a crescent star finial. Hallmark Made in Austria, Ruff is on the side. Andor Ruff, 1885 to 1951, was a Hungarian sculptor working in Budapest and Brussels. His work is reminiscents of that of Franz Xavier Bergman who also specialized in cold-painted bronzes. Collectible Vienna Bronze, Oriental Decor For Interior Design.
