Nikolai Evguenievich Vechtomov, Russian, Soviet era, 1923 to 2007, oil painting on canvas depicting a still life with a bottle, a dish, and vegetables, 1955. Signed and dated, lower right. Framed. An original stamp, Permitted for export from the Soviet Union, on the backside. Nikolai Evgenievich Vechtomov, a Soviet and Russian artist, a prominent representative of nonconformism and one of the classics of the second wave of Russian avant-garde, was a member of the creative association Lianozovo School. Studied with M.S. Perutsky, K.G. Dorohova, M.T. Khazanova, S.S. Boim. One of a kind artwork.
