Morton Grossman, American, 1926 to 1998, mixed media painting on paper depicting an Expressionist cityscape. Signed lower right. Framed. Morton Grossman is known for Expressionist painting, teaching. As an art educator, teacher, Morton Grossman does work that encompasses many visions of landscapes through an abstract and expressionistic eye. He began his career by graduating from the Art Students League of New York and has since taught at a number of higher level institutions. He has received awards for a number of his works including: Dana Medal; Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Gold Medal of Honor; American Watercolor Society Arches Award; Watercolor U.S.A.
