An antique mid-19th century American sivler pitcher. A footed jug with embossed and etched acanthus leaf ornaments. The item is decorated with engraved names of the previous owners and dates of purchase, including H.R. Burrough, 1850, John A. Gross, 1884, C.M. Read, Elizabeth Beckett Fogg, 1988. Hallmark Jones, Ball and Poor, Pure Coin on the bottom. Weight: 375 grams. Jones, Ball and Poor was Bostons leading jeweler, the hallmark in this lot dates back to 1846-1853.
