A pair of antique Japanese, late Meiji period, silver wire enamel vases. Each vase has an amphora shaped body and a fluted neck. The wares are enameled with a polychrome image of a pair of birds in sakura trees and blossoming flowers on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck and the base are adorned with floral, foliage, and geometrical motifs made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
