An antique Japanese Meiji Era covered enamel over brass box. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. The trapezoidal form ware is enameled with polychrome floral, butterfly, cloud, geometrical and swirl patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. The cover is adorned with a figural finial made in a shape of a flower, engraved with detailed patterns, on the top. The ground is inlaid with a Goldstone. Unmarked.
