An antique Japanese Meiji Era enamel brush pot. The cylindrical form pot is enameled with polychrome images of blossoming flowers, mostly chrysanthemum flowers made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck and the base of the pot are enameled with a polychrome geometrical motif made in the Cloisonne technique. The bottom is adorned with a polychrome image of a flower with foliage and scrollwork patterns, the border is decorated with a scalloped pattern made in the same technique. Unmarked.
