Mixed media artwork by Maqbool Fida Husain, 1915 to 2011, an Indian Modernist artist known for his expolrations of Indian culture and the history of British Raj. The artwork represents a carved wooden plaque mounted on a red fabric base. The piece depicts a peacock and an elephant. Titled Shriya. Dated June 25, 1996, London. Signed by the artist underneath. Collectible Contemporary Art, Indian Modernism, Carvings.
