A Russian St. Petersburg 88 gilt Silver and hand carved Rhodonite photo frame. The oval shaped frame is adorned with scrolled accents, below situated four lion heads. Mounted on a gilt Silver figural pedestal, decorated with four figurines of cherubs standing on a base, decorated with an engraved foliage motif. Mounted on an octagonal shape hand carved Rhodonite stand. Marked with a standard Russian Silver hallmark, a makers mark, and a town mark. Circa: 1873 to 1898. Completed with a printed black and white photo depicting His Serene Highness Princess Ekaterina Vladimirovna Golitsyna, dressed as a noblewoman of the 17th century.
