An antique Russian porcelain plate by Popov Porcelain Factory. The center of the plate is adorned with a hand painted image of blossoming flowers on blue ground. The border of the plate features a gilded traditional Greek motif. Marked with a blue ink mark, on the backside. Circa: the first half of the 19th century. Along with the Gardner and Novi factories, the Popov Manufactory was among the most important private manufacturers of hard paste porcelain operating in Russia in the 19th and 20th Centuries. Based in Moscow, the factory was well known for blending classic European designs popular in the 19th Century with Eastern influences.
