A Russian 84 gilt Silver footed egg casket with a hinged lid. The ware is covered with enamel in a black shade and Guilloche enamel in a green shade in a diamond shaped design. The egg is adorned with overlay garland and floral decor, and overlay dated, 1613 and 1913, encrusted with Diamonds. The cover has a cone shaped finial. A small gilt Silver figure of The Bronze Horseman, after the original equestrian statue of Peter the Great in the Senate Square in Saint Petersburg, Russia, is mounted inside the casket. A gold wash interior. The interior is covered with Guilloche enamel in a Royal blue shade. The egg is mounted on three figural legs. The legs are made in a shape of paws with scrollwork and floral designs. Mounted on a base, encrusted with a Ruby stone to the center. Marked with a standard Russian Silver hallmark, a makers mark, and other marks, on the bottom. Weight 181.7 g. The ware is presented in a box with folding opening doors.
