An antique Russian Orthodox hand painted triptych featuring a three paneled easel structure, typically used as a religious devotional item. In the center panel of the triptych, the image portrays the image of Edessa, a holy relic consisting of a square or rectangle of cloth upon which a miraculous image of the face of Jesus is imprinted. The triptychs side panels are showing the images of the guardian angel to the right and Saint Nicholas of Myra to the left. Circa the early 20th century.
