An antique Russian Orthodox hand painted icon depicting the Mother of God, known as The Healer. The icon shows the Mother of God standing gracefully in front of a sick man. Saint Demetrius of Rostov relates a story about this icon in his book The Bedewed Fleece.Tempera and gold on a wooden panel with kovcheg. Dates to the late 19th century.
