An antique early 20th-century silver open-face pocket watch. The round case has an etched floral design on the backside. White guilloche dial with Roman numerals and sub-dial. Engraved inscription Remontoir, 6 Rubis, hallmark Galonne 1ste Qualite, 147912, 157072, German crown and crescent 800 silver mark are on the inner side of the covers. A remontoir is a pocket watch type in which the key winding mechanism was replaced with a winding button. It was invented in 1842 by Adrien Philippe and gained in popularity from 1870 forward.
