A large antique Chinese Qing Dynasty decorative blue and white glazed porcelain export vase. Decorated with folk children storyteller vignettes. Interestingly, one of the kids is riding a mythological creature, a Qilin dragon, probably a sign of divinity and an indirect reference to Baby Buddha. The backgrounds are conceived as a palace terrace and garden, and from the neck of the vase to the top, a pine tree grows, a symbol of eternity. Circa the late 19th century.
