Walter Pearson Pettipas, American, 1915 to 2013, watercolor painting on paper, Antique Treasures, 1965. Signed and dated lower left. Framed. A printed detailed information about the artist, on the backside. Walter Pearson Pettipas was born April 13, 1915, in Rowley, MA. Walter graduated from Stoneham, MA High School in 1933. Walter was in the US Army Signal Corps during World War II and was stationed in Saipan in the Pacific War Theater. Among his commendations were the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon. He retired from the Harris Corporation, Long Island, New York in 1984. During his retirement Walter followed up with his life long activities of golfing and his ham radio operator activities using the call letters W2VR. Walter was a self taught musician and painter. He is known for landscapes, seascapes, genre scenes. One of a kind artwork.
