A pair of identical antique Japanese late Meiji Era enamel over patinated bronze vases. The amphora shaped vases are enameled with polychrome images of birds in a garden surrounded by floral, foliage, and geometrical motifs made in the Cloisonne technique, and a traditional Greek motif on a ground. Each vase is adorned with a pair of figural handles made in a shape of a head of an elephant. Gilded rims. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
