A hand colored caricature engraving by Thomas Rowlandson, 1756 to 1827, an English artist and caricaturist. The artwork depicts a brawl in a pub. Signed by the artist and dated 1807 in the lower left. Titled Miseries of the Country underneath. Inscription below: While on a visit in the hundreds of Essex being under the necessity of getting dead drunk every day to save your life, Et propter vitam vivendi herdere causas, To destroy the reasons of living for the sake of life.
