A mid-20th century Chinese white porcelain vases with crackle glaze. Mao Zedong era, Culturual Revolution period, 1966 to 1976. Guitar-shaped and rhombus-shaped pieces. The facets of the items are decorated with portraits of Mao Zedong, Communist flags and inscriptions in Chinese dedicated to historical events. Hallmark Made in 1968 in Chinese is on the bottom of both vases. Mao Zedong, 1893 to 1976, was a communist revolutionary and the founder of the Peoples Republic of China. The Cultural Revolution was an upheaval launched by Mao Zedong during his last decade in power to renew the spirit of the Chinese Revolution.
