Signed with a monogram and dated lower right. Yuri Pimenov is known for Propaganda figures and genre painting, and set design. Yuri Pimenov was a painter, graphic, and theatre set design artist. His painting subjects were portraits, figure, landscape, genre, still life and Soviet propaganda. The numerous subjects covered in Pimenovs work are associated with everyday Moscow life. A peoples artist of the USSR, he was a Full Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, and Laureate of the Lenin and State Awards of the USSR. In the 1920s, Pimenov participated in the Society for Easel Paintings activities. One of a kind artwork.
