Charcoal on paper drawing by Mikhail Larionov, 1881 to 1964, a Russian Avant Garde artist and costume designer of Neo-primitive style, lifelong partner of fellow painter Natalia Goncharova. The artwork is a caricature portrait of a man in beret and bow-tie. Titled Satirical portrait of Nikita Balieff. Ca. 1914. Signed by the artist in the lower right. Nikita Balieff, 1873 to 1936, was a Russian-Armenian stage performer and impresario best known as the creator of La Chauve-Souris theater group. Red mat, black frame.
