A pair of Chinese art on silk. The artworks are full-length portraits of a man and woman against a beige background, the clothes of the portraited indicate their high status and belonging to the court circle of the Ming dynasty. This type of painting is named ancestral painting. It was a common commission in the Qing era and was created in workshops as the result of collaboration among several artists.
