The Fukagawa-Seiji company was founded in 1894. It was awarded the Grand Prize at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris, and in 1910 was appointed official purveyor to the Japanese Imperial Household. Second. A white ceramic lidded jar with hand-painted blue ornaments and metal mounts. Calligraphic hallmark on the bottom.
