Subtle rounded shape, decorated with depictions of birds flying over the sea waves against the red background. Fukagawa Seiji mark with Mount Fuji is on the bottom of each piece. The Fukagawa-Seiji company was founded in 1894. It was awarded the Grand Prize at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris, and in 1910 was appointed official purveyor to the Japanese Imperial Household. Second.
