A fine gilt-bronze Buddha figurine, presumably Tibetan, 19th century. The Buddha is depicted seated on a double lotus base in dhyanasana. The surface is adorned with a very delicate engraving depicting patterns on clothing with flowers and scrolled foliage motifs. The Buddhas forehead is set with a natural turquoise cabochon.
