A finely moulded ancient Tang Dynasty hand painted terracotta pottery figurine of a warrior guardian, also known as a Zhenmuyong or Lokapala in the Buddhist tradition. The figure wears full intricate armor and a split chest plate over a knee length tunic, accentuated with red, orange and beige pigments. His hair is pulled back into a bun and his facial features are accentuated with dark pigment. Circa: 618 to 906 AD.
