A Russian Orthodox icon of Saint George. The mixed media painting on panel. Inscribed upper left. Presented in a gilt silver kiot case with a hand carved wooden base. The kiot is enameled with polychrome floral, foliage and scrollwork motifs made in the Cloisonne technique, decorated with relief image of flowers, encrusted with Ruby stones. Marked with a standard 84 Silver hallmark, a makers mark, and other Cyrillic marks. Weight 306 g. Russian Silver and Hand Painted Icons, Religious Wares For Collectors.
